Medicus Philippines Inc. (“MPI”) is a dynamic medical company engaged in the business of providing a comprehensive range of clinical laboratory, diagnostic and imaging services, medical clinics for general and occupational consultation, medical offices for lease and condo-clinics for sale.

Since August 1990, it has constantly enhanced its services, products and facilities to meet the growing demand for quality healthcare. The company has progressed from its role of market challenger into the leading out-patient healthcare company in Western Visayas and one of the top out-patient diagnostic service providers in the Philippines.

OUR CORE BUSINESS
At present, MPI has twenty-eight (28) diagnostic centers operating nationwide: eight (8) company-owned centers, one (1) affiliate and nineteen (19) franchises with 2 upcoming openings. Moreover, MPI operates the Medicus Medical Clinic for Overseas Filipino Workers (MMC-OFWs), Medicus Ambulatory Healthcare Center (MAHC) and Medicus Health and Wellness Center (MHWC), which collectively caters to specialty medical and surgical care as well as occupational medicine.

The Medicus clinical laboratories are consistently rated excellent by the National Reference Laboratory of the Department of Health (DOH) during its external quality assessment. The MMC for OFWs was recognized as one of the Ten Most Outstanding medical clinics in the Philippines by the Philippine Council for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (PCAHO). It is only 1 of 2 medical clinics for OFWs that was recognized from the entire Visayas and Mindanao region. On the other hand, the Medicus Ambulatory Healthcare Center was also recognized as the 2nd best performing Philhealth section in the ambulatory category in Western Visayas and Negros Island region.

Medicus Franchising
Under the guidance of the leading franchise developer in the country, MPI launched in January 2010 the first out-patient diagnostic center franchise in the Philippines. Through franchising, Medicus could provide the answer to some of the gaps in the healthcare industry in the Philippines such as quicker access to basic services.

Medicus Medical Center
In November 2014, the company launched its entry into in-patient healthcare services by acting as a major proponent for the establishment and opening of the 100-bed Medicus Medical Center. The existing 8-storey Medicus Condo-Clinics building was incorporated into the 6-storey medical center building and 12-level corporate tower.

Medicus Cancer Institute
MPI also spearheaded the establishment of what would become the first Cancer treatment facility in Western Visayas and Negros Island region with a Varian Clinac CX Linear Accelerator. The machine is recognized worldwide as the most effective for Radiation Treatment. The facility is located in the 4-storey Medicus Healthcare Plaza, which presently also houses a Hemodialysis Center and Condo-Clinics.

Today, MPI is getting closer to its vision of becoming a fully-integrated medical system that caters both out-patient and in-patient needs of loyal and new clients. Meanwhile, through franchising MPI has become one of the largest diagnostic center chains in the Philippines in terms of the number of branches. MPI is looking forward to setting more milestones and solidifying its contributions in the healthcare industry as it steadily moves beyond its 35th year.
